September Favorites!

I tried to go artistic with this month's favorites group picture. I'm not sure if it worked.

It's that time of the month again! I revisited a lot of favorite products from the past and fell in love with them all over again as well as played around with some new things. This is what I loved this month:

Starting with my very oldest favorite, I've been loving the Victoria's Secret PINK fresh & clean fragrance line. I started wearing this my freshman year of college - five years ago now - and though I've drifted on to other fragrances this is the one I always come back to. I have basically the full line in the old packaging, actually! (I like the new packaging a lot more.) It has notes of apples and lilies which are normally not scents I gravitate towards but it's, well, fresh and clean! It's just nice for something light and wearable day to day.

Now, I know I've said before that nothing would ever replace my Maybelline's The Falsies Flared, but, uh. I lost my tube of it. I know! How does one lose a tube of mascara? I misplaced it somewhere between my makeup bag and my survival kit and have no idea where it's gone. Luckily I had this stashed away and remembered how much I love it. I originally purchased Benefit's Bad Gal Lash in a tiny trial tube because it's expensive and I was curious. When I bought it the only higher end mascara I'd tried before was Mac Dazzle Lash, I believe, but this knocked that out of the park. I fell in love with it and it's definitely one of my top five favorites. I now carry the little guy in my survival kit and use this one for when I'm getting ready. I don't like the waterproof formula as much as the original, but it is DEFINITELY waterproof. Wearing it while caught in the rain has proven that.

Oh, Mac Viva Glam V. This is one of my holy grail lipsticks. I bought it last Christmas-ish time because I wanted something wearable for school with still a bit of shimmer to it and hit the jackpot with this lipstick. During the summer it tends to get neglected because I don't feel as weird wearing really colored lipsticks when I'm not in school but I'm glad I picked it out of my bag because it is literally the best shade of "your lips but better" lipstick! I am actually desperately in need of another tube but I couldn't find it at my counter, boo. Although - I'm curious about the matte version of it because I've been loving matte lipsticks? So if you've tried that, let me know how you like it!

I would not have made it through the month of September without my Hard Candy Glamoflauge concealer. There were so many days where I was super spotty but didn't feel like putting on a full face of makeup so I just grabbed this little guy and took care of it no problem. I originally bought it to cover up my tattoo for job interviews (which it did, holy crap) but since my job doesn't care about that, it's been my spot savior.

Even though I try to pretend I'm a skincare guru, I'm really not. However, using Origins Ginzing eye cream kind of makes me feel like one, not going to lie. I've really only just gotten into the eye cream thing, mostly because I have the most horrendous under eye darkness no matter how much sleep I get. Let me tell you something - this helps with that. It has little light reflecting particles which helps to brighten up those under eyes. Be careful, though - if you put it too close to your under eye, it will totally get in your eyes and burn. I was turned off of it at first because of that! Luckily I figured out I was putting it on wrong, oops.

Finally, kind of a random favorite! When I first smelled Bath & Body Works' Sweater Weather Candle, it was instant love. My favorite fall candle has always been Leaves (because of course it has, it's Leaves) but this swooped in and now I'm like, Leaves who? It smells fresh and sweet but still warm and toasty, just like going outside when it's kind of chilly out but nature is still nice. It definitely makes me want to put on a sweater.

So! That's it for my September favorites. The month itself was a bit too warm for my liking; it should be getting colder now!!! Hopefully October will be just the right month. :) In the comments, tell me what you loved for September and what you're looking forward to in October!

As always, thanks for reading and I love you very much!

x Kristin
